Choose FAT Partition to Be Resized

More than one Microsoft Windows® partition has been detected on your hard drive. Please choose the one you want to resize in order to install your new Mandriva Linux operating system.

Each partition is listed as follows: "Linux name", "Windows name" "Capacity", "Filesystem Type".

"Linux name" is structured: "sd" followed by "hard drive number" and "partition number" (for example, "sda1").

"Hard drive number" is always a letter after "sd" that depends on the controller the drive is connected to. For example, with IDE hard drives:

With SCSI hard drives, an "a" means "lowest SCSI ID", a "b" means "second lowest SCSI ID", etc.

"Windows name" is the letter of your hard drive under Windows ® (the first disk or partition is called "C:"). "Filesystem Type" is the name of the file system: fat, vfat (FAT32), ntfs.
